3YO adds to famous family
2 October 2014
Wild ‘N’ Famous showed he had a bright future in Sydney following his early victory at Canterbury yesterday. The WS graduate was making just his second start and showed significant improvement on a first-up fifth at Kembla Grange.
Trained by the in-form duo of Peter and Paul Snowden, the three-year-old was originally purchased by John O’Shea from the farm’s Select Sale draft to Karaka last year for $17,000. By former resident sire Fast ‘N’ Famous, the gelding is out of the winning Pins mare Silver Fern.
The dam is a three-quarter sister to the Listed Lion Red Plate winner and Gr.1 Diamond Stakes runner-up performer Raid. Wild ‘N’ Famous also hails from an international family that includes the former Australian Horse of the Year Emancipation, multiple Group One winner Virage de Fortune and the top-flight South African winner Rumya.
