You’re So Good Proves Just That!
17 December 2012
A New Zealand-bred filly with a strong Australian pedigree made the perfect start to her career across the Tasman on Friday.
WS graduate You’re So Good was successful on debut at Moonee Valley for Flemington trainer Nigel Blackiston.
Without the benefit of any trial experience, the Savabeel three-year-old showed a good turn of foot to win over 1200 metres under rider Damian Lane. An $80,000 Karaka purchase last year, You’re So Good is out of the winning Flying Spur mare Lightning Spur.
She is a half-sister to the former high-class racemare and dual Gr.1 Tatt’s Winter Stakes and TJ Smith Stakes winner Melito, also the top three-year-old filly on the Australasian Classification in 2009-10.
You’re So Good is a sister to the winners No Emotion and Lolly.
