O’Reilly’s boy strikes at kranji
22 March 2017
Lim’s Ripple made a splash in Singapore last night when the well-related three-year-old opened his account. The WS graduate struck early when he was successful at his second appearance over 1400 metres at Kranji.
Trained by Steven Burridge, he was unplaced on debut when he became unbalanced and was then short of room to improve in the straight. He was again ridden by Glen Boss and this time they made no mistake with a comfortable win by three-quarters of a length.
Lim’s Ripple is a son of O’Reilly and was purchased out of WS’s 2015 Premier Sale line-up at Karaka for $50,000. His dam Ethics is a daughter of Zabeel and her only other runner to date, Mia’s Choice (O’Reilly), has been a winner.
The dam is a grand-daughter of the former champion European three-year-old filly and multiple Group One winner Habibti. It is also the Eight Carat family of the recent Gr.1 Australian Cup winner Humidor.
