Trainer feeling good about o’reilly 3yo

O’What A Feeling’s breakthrough success in Singapore last night has earned him a favourable comparison with his older brother. The three-year-old improved on his debut second to break his maiden over 1400 metres.
“He’s still very raw but it’s his class and ability that made him win the race,” trainer Shane Baertschiger said. “He showed me a lot more than Blue Swede showed at that stage of his career. He’s got a lot of ability, it’s just a matter of getting him to use it to the best of his ability, and I think a set of blinkers will help him. He’ll go for a spell now and I’ll bring him back next year.”
O’What A Feeling, whose sibling Blue Swede has won six races, is a son of O’Reilly and the Zabeel mare Hooked Ona Feeing and he was a $100,000 Karaka purchase. His grandmother is the dual Australian Group Two winner Ugachaka.
