Far Fetched on way to stakes company
2 October 2014

Far Fetched was back to her dashing best at Wanganui this afternoon with an effortless winning performance. The Garry Chittick-bred and owned mare has now won three of her nine starts and looks destined to add black type to her smart record in the near future.
The four-year-old travelled comfortably and coasted clear in the run home under a kind ride from apprentice Miranda Dravitzki. “She rated her nicely and the mare showed her class,” trainer John Bary said. The Hastings horseman will keep the daughter of Pins in her own grade for the short term before deciding on more significant targets.
Far Fetched, who was Group Three placed in last season’s Lowland Stakes, is out of the Centaine mare Beyond, a four-time winner. She is a half-sister to Tootsie (Gr 3 Mannerism Stakes) and the family of the Bary-trained No Excuse Needed mare No Excuse Maggie (Gr 3 Taranaki Breeders’ Stakes).
