Sacred Pins Too Sharp Again

Champion sire Pins looks to have come up with another rising star in the form of the unbeaten three-year-old Sacred Pins. He looks well on the way to bigger and better things after mastering a significant rise in class to win at Rosehill.

Prepared by Chris Waller, the gelding had won a Warwick Farm maiden in heavy going on debut and today coped admirably with a good track and much better company. He was ridden by Glyn Schofield and trumped his opposition by a length and a-half over 1200 metres.

Sacred Pins was bred at WS and a $130,000 buy for Mulcaster Bloodstock during the Select session at Karaka last year. A brother to Singapore winner Maple Star, he is out of the unraced Centaine mare Hideaway who is a sister to the Garry Chittick-bred Taupo Retreat, who won the Gr 1 Gosforth November Handicap in South Africa.
