Good times rolling for syndicate

The Goodfellas Syndicate are understandably on good terms with themselves. The Wellington-based group of owners race the unbeaten Savabeel filly Goodsav with her breeders WS.
Trained at Hastings by Patrick Campbell, the three-year-old followed up her debut victory at Woodville with further success at her home Hawke’s Bay meeting on Sunday. Her performances have now earned her an early shot at black type.
“At this stage we’re looking at the Eulogy and then I’ll give her a break,” Campbell said. “She’ll have a lead-up run somewhere, possibly at Otaki. From day one I’ve really liked her attitude and the way she moves.”
The first foal of the unraced Pins mare Millililli, Goodsav was passed in during the 2014 Select Sale at Karaka. Bloodstock agent Phill Cataldo subsequently arranged for the Goodfellas Syndicate to race the filly on lease with the Matamata farm.
