Waller does it again

Sydney’s champion trainer Chris Waller has struck again with a WS graduate. After sending Pins’ son No Return out for his maiden success at Newcastle on Tuesday, he struck at Seymour this afternoon with Multifacets.

Racing out of the expatriate Kiwi horseman’s Flemington stable, the O’Reilly colt had finished fifth on debut at Sandown earlier this month. He showed the benefit of that outing and the step up to 1600 metres with his opening victory in Damien Oliver’s hands.

The three-year-old is out of the unraced Pins mare Swarovski, a half-sister to the Listed Rotorua Stakes winner Glitzy. Multifacets was a $75,000 Karaka purchase by Waller in 2014 and holds a nomination for the $A1 million Caulfield Guineas on October 10.
