Dublin Lass sits pretty in pink

Exciting speedster Dublin Lass added a second black type victory to her promising career by saluting in Listed Starlight Stakes (1100m) under the guidance of Kerrin McEvoy at Rosehill on November 28.

After jumping well from barrier one and tracking the speed behind leader Freeze The Charges, the race favourite put herself into the contest a tad earlier than expected but that only added to the half-length win of the in-form mare.

“She put herself in to the race quickly and I didn’t expect her to be that close, but mares that are in good form are pretty hard to beat,” said Peter Snowden.

“There are plenty of options for her over the summer, in fact there’s a race every fortnight across the next six weeks which we can target.

“And I wouldn’t be surprised if she wins another few along the way.”

McEvoy was as equally impressed with the five-year-old, believing more wins are in store for the daughter of O’Reilly, out of Elusive Quality mare Fashion Police.

“It looked her race on paper today and that’s how it played out.

“She produced a good turn of foot when I asked her to go.” McEvoy added, “That won’t be her last win”.

In other good news for the day, I’m Not Sure and Mitchell Bell made it a double for Snowden Racing by taking out race 4 at Beaumont for Mr and Mrs Ireland and Mr and Mrs Murray.
