O’Reilly Chimes In With A Double

Champion sire O’Reilly picked up a winning double at Taupo on Wednesday with a pair of talented three-year-olds.

The first-starter Beauty Supremo crunched his rivals while the more experienced A Real Prince continued his progression through the grades with a shared victory under his topweight.

Beauty Supremo had won a trial as part of his education under trainer Lance Noble and was expected to give a forward account of himself today.

“He’s a nice horse who trialled up well and did it professionally,” he said.

“He drew wide and did a lot of work in the run and was headed and fought back to win. He’s six months away but he’s a horse that’s showed a lot.”

Marton visitor A Real Prince did a fine job under 59kg earn a last-stride deadheat against a competitive field of Rating 80 sprinters. He has now won four of his 10 starts from trainer Fraser Auret’s stable.

“He’s a lovely horse who has developed more and more,” he said.

“I believe he can really make into a nice miler through the spring.”
