Good start all round
16 October 2015
Goodsav looks a filly destined to make her mark in stronger company after a stirring performance at Woodville yesterday afternoon. The daughter of Savabeel came in for solid support and the money was on the mark with a lively finishing run along the fence earning her a debut victory.
Bred by WS and raced by them with the Goodfellas Syndicate, the three-year-old is trained at Hastings by Patrick Campbell. “She hasn’t had a lot of experience and she’s a filly with potential,” he said. Goodsav had trialled satisfactorily at Foxton in May on a heavy track and more recently had a couple of jump-outs to ready her for race day.
Goodsav is out of the unraced Pins mare Millililli, a half-sister to the champion Singapore two-year-old, three-year-old miler and stayer Onceuponatime. Their mother is the Gr 2 Sir Tristram Fillies’ Classic winner Scarlet Runner.
