Fast ‘N’ Famous Filly Flies At Te Teko

Quintessential looked a filly with a bright future with further development when she was on the board early in her career at Te Teko this afternoon. The chestnut daughter of WS sire Fast ‘N’ Famous was making just her second appearance and showed the benefit of a debut run with a powerful finishing burst.

A $70,000 yearling but, the three-year-old is raced by Christchurch businessman Greg Tomlinson’s Nearco Stud. “That was particularly pleasing as she’s quite lean and mean and there’s a lot of improvement in her,” his thoroughbred manager Adrian Clark said. “Her first run was very good and her work in between so it’s quite exciting.”

A half-sister to three winners, Quintessential is out of the imported United States mare Florette who is a daughter of Gr 1 producer Sword Dance. She was unraced and is a three-quarter sister to the American stakes winners Magical Madness and Touched By Madness.
