Group credit for Ocean’s Park’s son Seaway
Seaway is the latest black type performer for Waikato Stud’s Ocean Park following his gallant effort in today’s Gr.2 Queensland Guineas.
In the hands of Blake Shinn, the Chris Waller-trained colt finished strongly for second behind his stablemate Sambro.
Seaway has made impressive progress this season with three wins and three placings from his seven appearances.
He is a half-brother to the multiple Singapore stakes winner Kiwi Karma.
Their dam is the One Cool Cat mare Miss Purrfection, a half-sister to the Gr.2 Sir Byrne Hart Stakes winner Cheiron.
Seaway was purchased at Karaka in 2016 for $210,000 by part-owners Star Thoroughbreds.
Noverre opens new season in winning fashion
Noverre’s three-year-old Spill It (ex Ivy’s Court) opened the new season with a win at Riccarton, flying home over 1200m for Anna Furlong and the Lines family. A $32,500 Karaka yearling, he’s now banked $26,600 from just two starts.
