Mare closing in on stakes success

The Waikato Stud-bred and raced mare was a smart winner over 1550 metres at Canterbury Park on Friday evening for trainers Richard and Michael Freedman and Rachel King.
The Savabeel mare has now won six races and more than AU$200,000 and in her current touch stakes success looks well within her reach.
On The White Turf is a daughter of the Pins mare Pins On Ice, who was successful three times up to 1600 metres and is a sister to the G2 Avondale Guineas and G3 Taranaki 2YO Classic winner Icepin, who as Regency King also won in Hong Kong.
Their half-brother Frozone counted the Listed Tattersall’s Open Mile among his seven career victories.
It is also the family of the multiple G1 winner Kinjite and the G2 Ascot Vale S. winner Scaredee Cat who both stood at Waikato Stud.
