Further success for promising filly
Progressive Tivaci filly Wolf Queen has made an impressive start to her career and was again an easy winner when romping home on Friday afternoon.
The three-year-old had finished runner-up on debut at Mudgee last month before effortless victories in return trips to Gosford.
Prepared by part-owner Bjorn Baker, Wolf Queen has been ridden in all three appearances by Heavelon Van Der Hoven and they bounced straight to the front today from an inside barrier.
The filly kicked on straightening and had no trouble holding her rivals at bay at the end of 1200 metres to sail home by 1.5l.
Wolf Queen was bred by the Dowager Duchess of Bedford and is out of the Zabeel mare All By Myself, who made a return visit to Tivaci in 2021, and she traces back to the outstanding broodmare Mrs Moss.
She features in the pedigrees, among others, of the ill-fated multiple Group 1 winner and producer Tavistock and Japan Cup winner and sire Jupiter Island.
