Savabeel’s son I Wish I Win has been rated the top performer in Australia, according to the latest edition of the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings for 2023.

Raced by breeder Waikato Stud with trainer Peter Moody, he has been credited with a rating of 121 following his victory in the G1 TJ Smith S. at his last appearance.

That ranks him the equal 16th best racehorse in the world, a mark that he shares with recent G1 Queen Anne S. winner Triple Time and John and Thady Gosden’s crack mare Emily Upjohn.

I Wish I Win’s latest rating has him ahead of fellow Australian-based gallopers Giga Kick and the now retired Anamoe, who share a mark of 120.

The rising five-year-old was recently confirmed to run in the slot of Trackside in the A$20 million TAB Everest at Randwick on October 28.
