Beckham dishes out 3 length drubbing

The talented Pins galloper Beckham made it two wins from his three starts in Australia when winning the Benchmark 75 over 1300 metres at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.

After previously winning a class 5 over 1300 metres with only 52.5kgs on his back, Beckham was asked to carry 57kg in this benchmark race when taking on some more experienced opposition.

Once into his rhythm, Beckham relaxed very well which allowed Cahill to rate him perfectly in the lead.

At no time during the race did there look to be any concern with Beckham going on to record a very easy win when winning untouched by just on 3 lengths.

“He had plenty in hand and won with authority,” said his trainer Liam Birchley.

“Judging by the ease of the win it should not be long until we see Beckham winning in town on a Saturday.”
