Bella provides winning boost

Bella Tivaci provided a pedigree update for her younger brother when she was successful over 1800 metres at the Sunshine Coast.
The four-year-old was bred by Waikato Stud who will offer her sibling as Lot 267 during Book 1 at New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale later this month.
They are by resident sire Tivaci out of the O’Reilly mare Novelty who is a sister to the multiple winner and G2 Coupland’s Bakeries Mile runner-up Seriously.
The pedigree page also boasts the presences of the top-flight winners Legs, Tiptronic and Gyno.
Bella Tivaci, whose sister sold to Queensland trainer Kacy Fogden for $280,000 last year, broke her maiden at Avondale from the stable of Nicholas Bishara, who remained in the ownership group when she relocated to Chris Waller’s stable.
A $30,000 Karaka graduate, Bella Tivaci posted three minor placings before joining Brian Smith’s operation and has now won twice from three appearances for the Eagle Farm-based horseman.
Ridden by Angela Jones, she lobbed along in the trail before she was into the clear 350 metres from home and finished relentlessly for top honours.
