Blueblood scores on debut
23 September 2014
Elegantly-bred filly Simply You has made an impressive start to her racing career in Australia. The O’Reilly three-year-old defeated her older opposition on debut over 1100 metres at Echuca yesterday for trainer Danny O’Brien.
She bounced out to lead and dashed clear in the straight to score by two lengths. Bred and raced by Garry Chittick, Simply You is a daughter of the former top-class racemare Glamour Puss, who won both the Goodwood Handicap and the Salinger Stakes at the highest level.
WS sold a Savabeel colt out of Glamour Puss, who has now left four winners from as many foals to race, for $280,000 to Peter Moody at Karaka last year.
