Book Full for Savabeel

Savabeel

The 2012 book for New Zealand’s hottest young Gr.1 sire Savabeel is now full.
With the Gr.1 VRC Derby winner Sangster and the dual Gr.1 winner Scarlett Lady featuring brightest of his 10 stakes winners this season, the Waikato Stud-based sire has been the subject of incredible breeder support.
“The local support for Savabeel has been great, but I have to say, the support from Australian breeders has been overwhelming. As a result of this, we have now posted the ‘Book Full’ sign for him,” explained Waikato Stud boss, Mark Chittick.
“He really is doing a superb job at what is still an early stage of his sire career.
“This season alone he has had the 10 individual stakes winners and if you look at his stakes winners-to-foals ratio, he is actually ahead of Australia’s heavy hitters Fastnet Rock and Encosta de Lago.”
All told, Savabeel’s four crops of racing age have netted two Gr.1 winners and a total of 17 stakes winners.
