Classic aim for Midnight Mistress

Avondale-based trainer Ron Gussey will target the Gr.3 Westbury Classic next with his progressive filly Midnight Mistress on March 4.
The daughter of Savabeel posted her second win from three starts at Ellerslie on Saturday.
“She’s come through Saturday’s run really well,” said Gussey.
“We are looking at running in the Westbury Classic on Auckland Cup Day.”

Hutchings confirmed for NZB Kiwi on Sought After
Australian-based, Kiwi-born jockey Rory Hutchings will ride Waikato Stud’s Sought After (Tivaci ex Popular), trained by Lance O’Sullivan and Andrew Scott, in the southern hemisphere’s richest race at Ellerslie on 8 March. A last-start winner, Sought After is a Matamata nursery product with a pedigree tied to Sacred Falls.
