Family comes first again

Relucent completed a quick-fire winning family double this afternoon when he followed in the footsteps of sibling Bioluminescence.
The son of Savabeel added to his record when successful over 1500 metres at Port Macquarie for local trainer Paul Shailer.
His younger sister Bioluminescence had opened her winning account in the colours of breeder Waikato Stud at Sale on Wednesday.
The six-year-old Relucent has now been successful on four occasions and has placed a further 16 placings, including a third in the Listed Geelong Classic and was fourth in the G1 VRC Derby.
He was originally a $300,000 Karaka purchase from Waikato Stud’s 2018 draft and raced out of Chris Waller’s stable before he was bought for A$45,000 at the Inglis Digital September Sale last year.
Relucent is a son of the late Pins mare Bright, who is a half-sister to the Group 1 winners Diademe and Embellish
