Famous By Name Swamps Em!

The Dean Binaisse-prepared Fast N Famous galloper Famous By Name turned in a thrilling performance over 1600m at Victoria on Sunday.

Third last at the turn, Famous By Name was shown the persuader by jockey Luke Currie. The result would have Bairnsdale RC commentator enthuse:

“… and Famous by Name is swamping them. He’s come from nowhere. Famous By Name grabbed them, got up. Big effort!” he said.

Famous By Name – never really going to win, but he’s got there though.

“…Aw he’s jumped out of the ground”.”

The talented Deborah Ho-bred 3YO has now rewarded owners Mark Answerth, Jason Dowling, David Johnson, Mick Johnson, Tom Quinn, Andrew Sanderson with two wins in succession and a runner up placing from four outings.

Purchased for $25,000 at Karaka’s Ready To Run Sale by Binaisse’s racing enterprise 888 Racing, Famous By Name hails directly from the unraced High Yield mare High Tudor – a half-sister to the Gr 1 Toorak Handicap winner Allez Wonder.

His Group winning Redoute’s Choice sire Fast N Famous has already enjoyed such winners as Famous By Name in Australia and with Smoke N Mirrors and Scarlet O’Hara in New Zealand.

The speed sire will have 6 horses for sale at the Ready To Run Sale (Click here to see).
