Fillies Flying For Famous Dad
17 December 2011
Two promising daughters of Fast ‘N’ Famous have kept the WS stallion’s winning tally ticking over with wins at either end of the country. Altheleavesrbrown was successful at Riccarton on Friday while Our Famous Eve continued her impressive progress at Te Rapa today with her second consecutive victory.
Trained by co-breeder and part-owner Kevin Hughes, Altheleavesrbrown had placed in all three of her juvenile starts and has been set for the Listed Gore Guineas. Out of the multiple winner Tio Iris, she also claims a nomination for the Gr 1 New Zealand Oaks.
Our Famous Eve is an exciting prospect for Matamata trainer Glenn Old and breeders Ancroft Stud. She had won her maiden at Te Rapa in November and had no trouble on her weekend return to bridge the gap to better company and has earned a cheque in each of her five appearances. She is out of a half-sister to the multiple Gr 2 winner King Delamere whose dam Battle Eve was an outstanding racemare of the 1970s.
