Filly Serves Further Notice Of Talent
19 January 2012
Notice Received preserved her perfect record in Melbourne yesterday when she struck again at the Sandown meeting. The WS-bred and sold daughter of O’Reilly had previously made a winning debut at Geelong earlier this month for trainer Andrew Noblet.
He purchased the filly for $A135,000 out of the Matamata farm’s 2010 draft to the Sydney Easter Sale. She is out of the Royal Academy mare Classique Royale, who won twice in Australia, and is from the family of the multiple Australian stakes winner Apple Danish.
Notice Received has been ridden on both occasions by Ben Melham and yesterday they combined for a two length victory over 1400 metres. WS stallion No Excuse Needed also made an impact at Sandown with his five-year-old son Ruse de Guerre claiming the third victory of his career.
