Golden Archer Credits Pins with G3 Success as Damsire

Kevin and Julie Taylor’s star homebred 3YO Golden Archer credited Pins with G3 success as a damsire over the weekend.

The Peter Moody-conditioned galloper made every post a winner in the HDF McNeil Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield, adding the 1 ¾ length G3 win to an impressive race record that already includes three Listed victories.

The 6-from-9 win galloper is out of the talented Pins mare Viennetta, who herself carved out a fine five strong win career which included G2 success in the ARC Auckland Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes and a G1 placing in the NZ Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes.

To date, Pins has achieved a damsire stakes winners-to-runners ratio of 7.1%.

His leading descendants being Dowager Queen and the said G1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes bound gelding, Golden Archer.
