Guineas hopes boosted following Stakes win

The Chosen One, a gifted son of Savabeel, is right on target for a Group One assignment.
He led all the way to win this afternoon’s Listed Zacinto Stakes at Riccarton in a canter.
The classy colt was successful on debut at Waverley and had no trouble bridging the gap to black type company.
The Chosen One was ridden by Matt Cameron for Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman.
The three-year-old will now put his unbeaten record on the line in the Gr.1 New Zealand 2000 Guineas.
The Chosen One is a member of the Dennis brothers’ successful family, which includes the Group One winning brothers The Phantom and The Phantom Chance.
The colt is raced by his breeders after failing to meet his reserve at Karaka.
