Hall Of Fame stakes Guineas claim
3 October 2016
A Savabeel three-year-old pressed his Group One claims with a sublime victory at Riccarton on Saturday.
Hall Of Fame was a runaway winner with a performance that has cut his NZ 2000 Guineas odds from $14 to $9.
“He’s a very smart colt by Savabeel out of a Galileo mare,” Te Akau principal David Ellis said.
“I bought him at the Ready to Run Sale and he will be ready for the 2000 Guineas.”
A $230,000 purchase, Hall Of Fame has now won two of his five starts for trainers Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards.
He is from the family of the dual Gr 1 VRC Derby and Spring Champion Stakes winner and Gr 1 Melbourne Cup runner-up Nothin’ Leica Dane.
