Handsome Savabeel Colt Sells for A$235K

Waikato Stud’s handsome Savabeel colt ex Haberdashery has just sold to George Moore Bloodstock at the Sydney Inglis Easter Yearling Sale for A$235,000.

It is the second year that George Moore Bloodstock has secured Waikato Stud’s leading lot, with the honours last year going to the Pins ex Heavenly colt, which was procured for A$370,000.

Moore’s 2012 colt of choice attracted plenty of attention at the sales ground.

Beyond outstanding physique, he boasted a strong black-type pedigree of being by vogue Gr.1 sire Savabeel and out of an unraced half-sister to the Gr.1 Queensland Derby winner, Lachlan River
