Lees thrilled with Lucia Valentina

Trainer Kris Lees was delighted with Lucia Valentina’s last-start run for sixth in the Gr.1 George Main Stakes at Randwick.

“Her closing sectionals were outstanding,” he said. “The way she is going, the Caulfield Cup looks to be the right race for her.”

The Savabeel mare will have her first start in Melbourne on Saturday week when she runs in the $A500,000 Gr.1 Turnbull Stakes (2000m) at Flemington.
