Lowland next step for Savaria

Talented filly Savaria showed she’s on track for higher honours when an eye-catching second in the Platinum Homes Oaks Prelude (1800m) at New Plymouth on Saturday.

Finishing second to fellow Gr.1 Wellfield Oaks aspirant Thee Auld Floozie, trainer Roydon Bergerson confirmed the Savabeel filly’s next step this morning.

“She’s pulled up really well after Saturday’s effort and her next run will be in the Lowland,” Bergerson said.

“All going to plan, after that we will progress onto the Oaks.”
The Gr.3 Little Avondale Lowland Stakes (2100m) is the feature race held at the Hastings meeting on 28 February.
