Oliver to ride Kiwi mare

Damien Oliver has been confirmed as the new jockey for the New Zealand-bred and owned Lucia Valentina at Flemington next Saturday.
He will partner the dual Group One winner for the first time in the Gr.2 Matriarch Stakes.
Lucia Valentina was unplaced last time out in the Gr.1 Caulfield Cup, although she was only five and a half lengths from the winner Mongolian Khan after starting from a wide gate.
