O’Reilly Filly Makes Presence Felt

A well-related daughter of O’Reilly played a starring role for WS on the final day of the Select Sale at Karaka. She went to Queensland interests for $80,000 and is out of the Pins mare Rhysess whose five career wins featured the Gr 3 Cuddle Stakes.

The filly is a half-sister to the promising John Sargent-trained Savarhys with their grand-dam the Gr 3 Lowland Stakes winner Sahrhys. It is also the family of the multiple winners and stakes performers Fraxy and Yenolom.

Fast ‘N’ Famous also made an impression during the final session. His colt out of the Pins mare Palin, a sister to the Gr 3 Victoria Handicap winner Stickpin, made $30,000 and is from the family of a number of American black-type performers.

A daughter of Fast ‘N’ Famous was bought by Gem Bloodstock, of Cambridge, and looked great value at $28,000. She is a half-sister to 10 winners, including Gr 1 performer Ambitious who is in turn the dam of the Gr 3 Gloaming Stakes winner Strike The Stars. They are out of WS’s dual Gr 3 Gold Trail and Lowland Stakes winner Starcent (Centaine).
