O’Reilly To Fore For Stud

O’Reilly was the star of the WS show on the closing day of NZB’s National Weanling Sale. The much-decorated champion stallion was the dominant selling force for the Matamata farm at Karaka this afternoon with his striking black daughter going to Taranaki interests for $27,500.
The filly is out of the winning Danasinga mare Singalong, who has a 100 percent record at stud with both her foals having won. The dam is also a sister to Hamlet’s Ghost, who successfully started his carer in New Zealand before finishing runner-up in the Gr 1 Hong Kong Derby. Berkley Stud took a shine to an O’Reilly colt and went to $23,000 to secure the youngster, who is a brother to the winner Cowboy from the celebrated Glamour Puss family.
