Pedigree Picks with Mike Rennie – 28 June, 2019
The Murray Baker/Andy Forsman trained Vibrato has become Sacred Falls’ second winner, keeping up a strong gallop to win by 2.5L over 1230m at Rotorua. The 1200m Listed Ryder Stakes at Otaki July 27th is now on the radar.
Vibrato is the third foal out of the Pins mare Music, a daughter of the stakes placed Gold Brose mare Zamfir. O’Reilly has nicked over Pins in great numbers and the statistics are strong; 75% winners and 6% stakes winners to runners.
The top runners include Kelly O’Reilly, High Fashion, Bonny O’Reilly, Queens Rose and Wolfwhistle. O’Reilly also has a good affinity with Gold Brose having produced seven runners for five winners including a stakes winner. The stats stack up behind Vibrato and that’s why there is a full sister in the paddock!
From a line breeding perspective, he represents a relative outcross the first five generations, until we see Biscay 6 x 5. Interestingly, there are four male Star Kingdom lines (via Biscay and Kaoru Star) which are only becoming harder to find.
So, a big well done to David and Bob of whom are great supporters of the stud and judges of a horse, it’s a great thrill to celebrate alongside them.
Good luck to the Seaway team (Ocean Park ex Miss Purrfection by One Cool Cat) who lines up in the Listed Civic Stakes tomorrow at Rosehill.
