Pins 4yo hits a winning run

No Return is expected to realise his full potential over middle distances, but in the meantime he gave a sneak preview of what’s to come at Newcastle this afternoon. The New Zealand-raced son of Pins opened his account over 1600 metres at his fifth appearance.
Prepared by champion trainer Chris Waller and ridden by Blake Shinn, the four-year-old was originally bought out of WS’s 2013 Select Sale draft at Karaka for $120,000. He was purchased by Go Racing’s Albert Bosma with Black Caps cricket captain Brendon McCullum also involved in the ownership. “A very promising stayer who will get better over ground,” Bosma tweeted following the victory.
