Pins 4YO makes an impact in feature mile

Mackintosh is Pins’ latest Group One performer after a bold showing in Saturday’s Epsom Handicap at Randwick. The progressive four-year-old gave another outstanding account of himself when a close third in the prestigious Sydney mile.

“Big run. I thought we had it everywhere bar the post,” rider Tommy Berry said. The WS graduate had won the Gr 2 Theo Marks Stakes at Rosehill when resuming at his previous appearance for the sixth win of his brief career.

Mackintosh is out of the Generous mare Lolly Scramble, who is a half-sister to the Group Two winner Viennetta. It is also the family of the Group One winners Anacheeva and Headturner.
