Pins 5yo has another winning moment
3 March 2016
The dependable Seize The Moment continued his winning habit at the Hawke’s Bay meeting on Wednesday afternoon. Pins’ son came back from a break to claim the open handicap in the hands of Danielle Johnson.
The WS-bred and sold five-year-old bounded straight to the lead and he was never headed to have a comfortable half a length to spare on Maygrove at the post. “He’s getting a very good form line and it was a small, but select field,” trainer Stephen Marsh said.
Seize The Moment has now won six of his 20 starts and was also runner-up in the Listed Anniversary Handicap in January. “He ran a really good second at Wellington and he freshened right up nicely,” Marsh said. He was a $50,000 Karaka purchase and is a half-brother to the stakes winner Savour The Moment.
