Residential home again in guineas

Residential

Quality Pins filly Residential continued her black type roll at Ascot Park on Saturday. She was a gallant winner of the Listed Dunedin Guineas earlier this month and today she added the Listed Southland Guineas to her record.
Trained by John and Karen Parsons, stable apprentice Gosen Jogoo was again in the saddle and he has now ridden her in all three of career successes. They had got home narrowly at Wingatui, but it was a much different story at Ascot Park this afternoon and they sauntered home by four lengths.
Residential is a daughter of the Elusive City mare Metropolitan, a black type winner and also the dam of the stakes performer Colonel Custer. WS sold Metropolitan’s O’Reilly colt at Karaka this year for $120,000 to Cambridge interests.
