Rich pedigree to fore at Echuca
Promising filly Walk Of Fame added to her family roll of honour with a determined display at Echuca on Saturday.
The Waikato Stud-bred and raced daughter of the late Sacred Falls had finished third on debut on the course last month and showed the benefit of that experience with a tidy follow-up effort over 1200 metres.
Trained by Danny O’Brien and ridden by Liam Riordan, Walk Of Fame jumped well from an awkward gate to settle in fourth place.
She improved wide near the turn and the three-year-old finished off generously to break her maiden against older opposition.
Walk Of Fame is the first foal of the Savabeel mare Boulevard and she is a sister to the G2 Thousand Guineas Prelude winner Acting with their dam Hollywood a daughter of the two-time Group 1 winner Glamour Puss.
Her half-brother Vision And Power also claimed two elite level titles while the pedigree further features the G1 Coolmore Classic winner Steps In Time.
Boulevard’s Tivaci filly Rue De Rivoli was a $340,000 Karaka graduate and has raced once for trainer Mark Walker while the mare has a yearling filly by Tivaci and is in foal to Super Seth.
