Rios son gets serious at sandown

Cannot Be Serios took another impressive step through the grades in Victoria yesterday with victory at Sandown.
The WS-bred son of resident sire Rios was successful for the third time in 11 starts for Lee and Anthony Freedman.
Ridden by Mark Zahra, Cannot Be Serios stepped up to 1600 metres and made light of his 58.5kg to win in fine style.
He is a brother to the multiple winner Del Rios, their mother being the Captain Rio mare Cruella De Vil.
It is the family of the Group One performer Tristachine and current multiple stakes winner No More Tears.

Hutchings confirmed for NZB Kiwi on Sought After
Australian-based, Kiwi-born jockey Rory Hutchings will ride Waikato Stud’s Sought After (Tivaci ex Popular), trained by Lance O’Sullivan and Andrew Scott, in the southern hemisphere’s richest race at Ellerslie on 8 March. A last-start winner, Sought After is a Matamata nursery product with a pedigree tied to Sacred Falls.
