Sacred Falls 4YO romps home

Sacred Falls 4-year-old O’Mudgee has been in grand touch this preparation and he was an effortless Benchmark 72 winner at Canterbury Park this afternoon.
Trained by Bjorn Baker, he came off a handy sit to take the lead into the straight and strode clear to win with a minimum of effort for rider James McDonald.
The Waikato Stud graduate O’Mudgee was making the eighth start of his current campaign and has now three times and placed a further three times.
“This horse has been going really well, he’s flying. He’s rock hard fit and looks outstanding,” Baker’s Racing and Bloodstock Manager Stephen McLean said.
“He’s ticking along nicely and we don’t do a lot with him between runs, he’s a happy horse.”
O’Mudgee is a half-brother to the Listed Singapore Derby winner Jupiter Gold with their dam the More Than Ready mare Contented. She is from the family of the former Champion Sprinter, cult figure and multiple Group 1 winner Takeover Target.
