Savabeel Stars At Seymour

Savabeel helped himself to a winning Melbourne double yesterday with consecutive successes at the Seymour meeting. The lightly-tried Heisman started the ball rolling when he broke his maiden and was followed up by Dublin Darlin, who posted for the fourth win of her career.

Trained by Shaun Dwyer who bought her out of WS 2009 Select Sale line-up at Karaka for $30,000, Dublin Darlin is out of the winning Nassipour mare Jewel Of Ireland. She is a half-sister to the dam of Gr 1 Sydney Cup winner Jessicabeel and the family of the former Hong Kong Horse of the Year and champion stayer Indigenous.

The Mark Young-trained Heisman confirmed his staying promise with his breakthrough success. The four-year-old, a son of the Gr 2 Fayette Park Stakes winner Khopromise, had placed in four of his previous five starts and scored at his second middle distance outing yesterday.
