Savaheat provides Savabeel with his 66th Stakes winner

The Darren Weir-trained Savaheat (Savabeel – Heat Storm by Green Desert) took out the Hill Smith Stakes (Listed, 1800m) at Morphettville yesterday to provide Savabeel with his 66th Stakes winner. The lightly-raced three-year-old, who was a maiden heading into the $100,000 Listed race, comfortably got the better of Glam Guru (Medaglia d’Oro) by two and a quarter lengths under John Allen, with Box On Collins (Lope De Vega) a further length and a quarter adrift in third position.
