Savodan still undefeated
12 October 2013
Exciting three-year-old Savodan has maintained his perfect record at Kranji for trainer Michael Freedman. The son of Savabeel was a debut winner last month and staged a repeat performance under international rider Alan Munro last night.
The gelding has won by narrow margins each time and can be expected to improve further as he is stepped up over more ground. He is out of the Danasinga mare Go Our Dana, who won four races, who is a daughter of the Gr 3 Ladies’ Mile winner Our Babe.
Savodan was purchased by Freedman and Cambridge agent Michael Wallace for $170,000 from WS’s Premier Sale line-up at Karaka in 2012. He is a half-brother to the winners Argent (Pins) and Ardengo (Scaredee Cat).
