Savour That Te Rapa Performance!
12 December 2011
Savour The Moment continued his impressive progress through the grades with another strong performance at Te Rapa on Saturday. The WS-bred and sold four-year-old downed a hot field of Rating 85 metric milers and trainer Stephen Marsh will now lift his sights with the son of Savabeel.
“His form this time in has been pretty near faultless and he’s beaten a really good field today,” the Cambridge horseman said. “He’s really matured a lot both mentally and physically and we’ll definitely look at the Rich Hill Mile now.”
Savour The Moment was bred by Garry Chittick and sold through the farm’s Premier Sale draft in 2009 for $37,500. He is out of an unraced half-sister to Danasar (Listed Flying Handicap) and the dam of Viennetta (Gr 2 Breeders’ Stakes) . It is also the family of the Anacheeva (Caulfield Guineas) and Headturner (Gr 1 VRC Derby).
