Scarlett Lady to Resume Soon

The talented filly’s spring programme comprises five Group One races, culminating in the Melbourne Cup on November 1.

The Queensland Oaks winner will be just one of the star attractions in the Makfi Challenge Stakes, with Group One winners Wall Street (NZ) and Jimmy Choux (NZ) also slated to take part.
Undefeated in six starts in her last preparation, trainer Graeme Rogerson could not be happier with the way Scarlett Lady (NZ) has returned to the stable after a short sojourn in the paddock.
“She will gallop between races somewhere in mid-August before she goes to Hastings.”
A $25,000 yearling, Scarlett Lady (NZ) raced into Cups contention with a dominant win in the Gr. 1 Queensland Oaks, a race which has been renowned in recent years for producing Cups contenders.

Ethereal (NZ) scored her maiden Group One win in the race before collecting both the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups in the subsequent spring, whilst winners like Eskimo Queen (NZ) and Vouvray (NZ) have gone on to be highly competitive at the highest level.
