Showing Off In Style

Savabeel mare Showing Off will be on the trial of black type in the near future after adding to her record at Hastings recently. The four-year-old produced an impressive finish to down a strong field of Rating 85 performers for part-owner and trainer Danica Guy.

The WS graduate has now won four of her nine starts and bounced back to top form after an uncharacteristic failure at her previous outing.

“I was a bit concerned with that and wasn’t sure what went wrong,” Guy said. “The blinkers have made a difference and I’m not sure now if we’ll come back for the last day or the fillies’ and mares’ race at Hawera.”

Showing Off is out of the O’Reilly mare Maggie O’Reilly and from one of the Matamata farm’s most successful families. It features the Group One winners Glamour Puss and Vision And Power while Listed Canterbury Belle Stakes winner Emerald Queen is also a member of the clan.
