Silent Achiever on track

Cambridge-based trainer Roger James has reported that he has class filly Silent Achiever exactly where he wants her ahead of the Gr.1 BMW Stakes (2400m) at Rosehill on Saturday.

The winner of October’s Schweppes Crystal Mile, Silent Achiever has had three starts in Sydney in preparation for the BMW Stakes. She finished fourth in the Gr.1 Chipping Norton Stakes and fifth in the Gr.1 Ranvet Stakes at her last two starts.

Black-type breakthrough for Hurry Curry

Previously a placegetter at Group 1 and Group 2 level, Waikato Stud’s homebred mare Hurry Curry (Ocean Park ex Hurry) secured a valuable first black-type victory in the A$175,000 Listed RM Ansett Classic (2400m) at Mornington on Saturday.
