Tossed Again Impresses At First Time Of Asking
28 March 2012
Tossed Again looks an exciting prospect for prominent owner and administrator Herbie Dyke after an effortless debut display at Te Rapa this afternoon. The WS-bred daughter of Fast ‘N’ Famous showed impressive acceleration from a wide gate to hit the front and was never threatened thereafter to coast to the line with two and a-quarter lengths to spare.
“I left it up to Matt (Cameron) and she’s got good, natural pace and got there quite easily,” trainer Jason Bridgman said. “It was a really good effort first-up.” Tossed Again had placed in a recent trial and the filly now looks set to make her presence felt in stronger company. “She’s a little professional and flew the gates,” Cameron said. “She stepped two lengths clear of anything else and she kicked strongly in the straight.”
The three-year-old was a $40,000 Premier Sale purchase in 2010 for Dyke, who also raced the WS-bred Raid (Pins), winner of the Listed Lion Red Plate and Gr 1 placed in the Diamond Stakes as well as finishing third in the Karaka Million of her year. Tossed Again is out of the O’Reilly mare Look At Moiye, the winner of four races, and she is a daughter of the Gr 1 New Zealand 2000 Guineas winner Facing The Music.
